Florida Keys Layout

Assignment: Create a gray scale magazine layout using an article about the Florida Keys.


Solution: Instead of focusing on trying to convey color in gray scale I decided to focus on shape.

Assignment: Create a gray scale front page to a newsletter about the music genre of your choice.



Solution:  I focused on shape to create interest and weight and size to create order.

In the Summer of 2011 I went to Amsterdam, Netherlands for two weeks with a class from University of Missouri - St. Louis.



When we came back to St. Louis we designed and screen printed posters about our trip.

Detring-Vollmer Visual Identity

Description: The customer originally came in wanting a rack card printed but upon further discusion we decided that she needed a full visual identity.

Dr.Bronner's Label Challenge

Assignment: Design a new label for the 32-ounce bottle of Doctor Bronner’s Magic Peppermint Soap. Use only the original text, dimensions, color, bar code, and third-party logos. Do not add any new text or imagery. All original text must be included!

Digital is about details but print is permanent. You can't just ctrl+z after a couple thousand copies have been printed. Hands on experience is what counts here and is something I've been up to my neck in for more than a year.
